expat stories

Burj Khalifa
we love the Burj

Listening to/reading expat stories are the best way to learn about a place. I won’t lie to you… starting out as an expat mom in Dubai was stressful. There were so many things I was not prepared for and issues I never dreamed would ever come up.

Dubai has a reputation for being a cosmopolitan city full of wealth and prosperity, so it’s somewhat confronting when you get here are realise that the infrastructure and mentality has not necessarily kept pace with the rate of construction.

I think it’s important to look at every situation as a learning opportunity and there is always room for a laugh in every strange circumstance you find yourself in.

Have a read of some of my stories and learn from our experiences – oh, and of course, enjoy a hearty chuckle or two…
